Ducted System
The HyTec “Ducted” System works in combination with HyTec D-Model or HyTec EF-Model oil coolers. The Ducted System removes the waste heat from the oil cooler and expels it from an otherwise overheated machine room. As the oil is cooled, heat is transferred from the oil to the top of the HyTec Cooler cores. Machine room ambient temperature air is drawn through the top of the cores. The waste heated air is collected in a hood arrangement. An insulated flexible duct, attached to the hood, routes the heated air directly to a vent. The flow is assisted by a centrifugal blower that is close coupled to the vent. The actual ducting must be arranged for by the service company. This is done locally, because each job has its own unique set of dimensional characteristics. In addition, the collector hood is best sized on-site to ensure a good “fit” in the specific application. Often the customer or service company has a 'favorite' sheet metal firm which can be hired to construct the hood / duct / blower mounting arrangement. Noren Products, Inc. assists the service company and its contractor by providing schematic sketches and nominally dimensioned drawings of the equipment required.
