Air to Water Compact Cabinet Cooler CC 6360 Here ia a picture of the installation of the cooling systems for one of the Columbia County 9-1-1 Centers. We installed a flow control valve (set to .7 GPM), a flow control meter (rotameter), a thermometer on the inlet (54F) and outlet (73F), and a thermostat (set to 72F) on the air inlet which controls a solenoid valve on the water supply. The fans run continuously to prevent hot spots in the cabinets. We have 8 tower PC’s, two large UPS power supplies and ancillary equipment all running in the two cabinets. On average the thermostat calls for cooling for 4 minutes on and 12 minutes off. Because the cabinets are now sealed from room air, we installed an alarm monitoring system that will notify me in the event the high/low temperature, high/low humidity, smoke/fire detection, commercial power failure (or high/low), water on the floor, low UPS battery levels, and monitors ping responses from the PC’s in the cabinet. Now I don’t have to worry the equipment will overheat if someone shuts off the water or the fans.
