A Video Systems Publication A Primedia Property May 15, 2002 vol 1, No. 3 The AcoustiLock Cabinet Fan noise and other VCR and computer sounds has I was amazed at the difference between the noise level withthe door open and with the door closed. While the show floor of NAB is not the best of places to make such a judgement, I can assure you that the difference was significant - up to 38dB of actual noise reduction. As you can see from the illustration, the cabiet is crammed with "noise makers". Cllosing the cabinet door quieted the environment astonishingly, thanks to the triple acoustic barriers, the free-floating, vibration dampened rack, the air tight gasketing and the double paned glass door. The ventilation problems inherent in most cabinets seems to be solved! The sealed environment keeps dirt particles and pollutants out, protecting the equipment. This handsome maple cabinet comes with casters for portability. |
